WBC elevates Kabayel to full heavyweight champion

Agit Kabayel (27-0) is now the WBC heavyweight champion. WBC has decided to elevate him as full champion, after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the title. Kabayel is first boxer from Germany in nearly 100 years that holds the heavyweight title belt. Kabayel was the WBC Interim champion and was waiting the title chance.

"Incredible. From today I am the WBC heavyweight world champion. The first Kurdish heavyweight world champion in history and the first German heavyweight world champion in almost 100 years. Words can't describe what I'm feeling right now", Kabayel wrote in social media.

Max Schmeling was the last German heavyweight world champion. He was champion between years 1930 and 1932.
