The World Junior Nations Cup will start on June 9

The U15 and U17 boxers have a busy year in 2026 and the World Junior Nations’ Cup is another top international event for them. The 10th edition of the World Juniors Nations’ Cup has re-scheduled to June 9-15 to reach maximum number of boxers and the new date could be better for the National Federations. The competition will be held for the U17 and U15 junior girls and boys in the city of Vrbas and it will avoid the overlapping with the Hungarian international event, the Bornemissza Memorial Tournament. The competition, which has a bright tradition, will start with its first session on June 10 and the finals are scheduled to take in Vrbas place on June 14. The Serbian Boxing Federation is very active in the boxing map, their Women’s Nations Cup took place already in January and their big event, the outstanding Belgrade Winner Tournament will be held in earlier this May, on 12-18. Boxers who were born in 2010 and in 2011 are eligible to participate in the U17 part of the Junior Nations Cup in Vrbas, Serbia this year, while athletes from the younger 2012 and 2013 age groups will compete in the U15 level. The venue of the Junior Nations Cup is the Drago Jovovic Sports Hall while there are several accommodation options for the participating teams. The deadline for the final entries is May 25 but all visa requests must be send to the Serbian local organizers not later than April 25. The Junior Nations Cup will provide a fantastic opportunity for this age group to prepare well to the upcoming European U17 Boxing Championships which will be held in Budva, Montenegro on October 1-11.
