The 15th Zagreb Open Tournament for the U15 and U17 boxers will take place in Croatia on September 8-13

The 15th edition of the Zagreb Open Tournament will be organized by the Zagreb Boxing Association and it will take place in Croatia’s capital on September 8-13.

The Croatians hosted several top championships in the recent years and the registrations are open for their next event, the Zagreb Open until August 30.

The handbook of the Zagreb Open Tournament has issued and all of the National Federations have the right to register

The U15 boxers who were born in 2012 and in 2013, will be eligible to participate in the Zagreb Open Tournament in Croatia. The older 2010 and 2011 born boxers will be able to compete in the U17 age group of the Zagreb Open.

The U15 schoolboys will be able to compete at the 38kg, 40kg, 42kg, 44kg, 46kg, 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg and 90kg weight categories. The U15 schoolgirls will have the following weight classes in Zagreb: 36kg, 38kg, 40kg, 42kg, 44kg, 46kg, 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 64kg and 70kg.

The U17 junior girls and boys will be able to participate for the titles at the 46kg, 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg and +80kg in Croatia.

The Croatian event supports the preparation for the European U15 Boxing Championships and the European U17 Boxing Championships and both competitions will take place in October. The U17 event will be held in Montenegro on October 1-11 while the U15 Championships in Turkey in the second part of October.
