Sheeraz relinquishes title, WBO orders negotiations between Alimkhanuly and Bank for vacant title

WBO have ordered teams of Janibek Alimkhanuly (17-0, 12 KOs) and Jacob Bank (20-0, 11 KOs) to negotiate for the fight for vacant title. Teams have a period of 15 days to reach deal. If deal is not reached, then WBO will order a purse bid.

WBO World title in super-middleweight became vacant, after Hamzah Sheeraz opted against fighting mandatory challenger Alimkhanuly. Sheeraz’s promoter Queensberry won the bid to organize the fight.

Diego Pacheco also refused to fight Alimkhanuly. So Danish prodigy Bank now finally have a title chance.
