Ruiz vs. Knyba on September 4

Former unified heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr. (35-2-1, 22 KOs) will face Damian Knyba (17-1, 11 KOs) on September 4 in New Jersey. Fight was confirmed by Matchroom Boxing.

For Ruiz is the first fight in two years. He last fought against Jarrell Miller in August 2024. Fight ended in majority draw.

Knyba’s only loss is against WBC World champion Agit Kabayel.

"After we get this victory, I would love to fight all the guys that have the belts the Oleksandr Usyk vacated and we're going to become a two-time champion next year, let's get it," Ruiz said.

Fight will be a 12-rounder.
