Romero vs. Lopez for WBA title on August 22

Rolando Romero (17-2, 13 KOs) will fight Teofimo Lopez (22-2, 13 KOs) for WBA Super World welterweight title on August 22 at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas.

Romero hasn’t fought since May last year when he stunned Ryan Garcia.

Lopez last fought in January this year losing to Shakur Stevenson in fight for WBO World super-light title. Lopez, former unified lightweight champion and WBO champion in superlight division is moving up in welterweight division.
