Romania’s main elite international event, the Golden Belt Tournament will take place in Braila on July 10-18

The next edition of the Golden Belt Tournament will feature in the Polivalenta Hall in Braila, Romania on July 10-18 this year. The handbook of the Golden Belt Tournament has issued and all of the National Federations have the right to register to the Romanian open elite event. The Romanian Boxing Federation has celebrated its 100th anniversary earlier this year and their Golden Belt Tournament will be a highlight this summer. Braila is a boxing city which hosted several international competitions as the European U22 Boxing Championships. Braila arranged also the 2025 edition of the Dracula Open Tournament and several national events. Romania started the year to host the Dracula Open Tournament and the Golden Belt is their main elite competition in 2026. The event will take place in all of the 10 women and 10 men weight categories in Romania where the first competition day is July 11. The women and the men finals have been divided into two parts and these will take place in the event on July 16 and 17. The competition is a perfect opportunity to prepare for the upcoming European Elite Boxing Championships which will be held in Sofia on September 15-26.
