Mathieu stops Falcao in round eight, Unal vs. Kongolo ends in a draw

Wilkens Mathieu (16-0, 11 KOs) stopped former world title challenger Esquiva Falcao (32-3, 21 KOs) in round eight on Thursday night in Quebec City, Canada. Fight for NABF super-middleweight title was scheduled for 10 rounds. It was the main fight on card promoted by Eye of the Tiger.

In co-main event Mehmet Unal (15-0-1, 13 KOs) had a majority draw against Yoann Kongolo (18-3-2, 7 KOs).

Two judges scored the fight 95:95 and one scored 96:94 for Kongolo. Fight was for WBA Continental Americas and WBC Continental Americas light-heavyweight titles.

Leila Beaudoin (15-2) won the WBA Interim World super-featherweight title. She defeated Paulina Angel (7-3-2) by unanimous decision.
