Mason vs. Cordina on July 4

Abdullah Mason (20-0, 17 KOs) will defend his WBO World lightweight title on July 4 in Cleveland. He will face Britain’s Joe Cordina (19-1, 9 KOs).

For 22-year-old Mason, actually boxing’s youngest world champion, will be the first title defense.

Mason won the title on November last year beating Sam Noakes by unanimous decision.

On the same event, on July 4, Bruce Carrington (17-0) will defend his WBC World featherweight title against Rene Palacios (19-0-1).
