Katie Taylor confirms retirement fight, will face Flora Pili on September 5 in Dublin

Katie Taylor (25-1, 6 KOs) will face Flora Pili of France on September 5 in Croke Park, Dublin. For Taylor will be the last fight in professional boxing career. Taylor will fight Pili for undisputed super-lightweight title.

Victory will see 39-year-old Taylor retire as a three-time undisputed champion, having previously held all the titles at super-lightweight as well as lightweight.

Taylor is considered one of the best and most influential women's boxers in history. A five-time amateur champion, Taylor won Olympic gold in London in 2012, the first time women's boxing was contested at the Games.

She is credited with the growth and mainstream popularity of women's boxing, particularly in the UK and Europe.
