Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez stops Vargas, becomes three-division world champion

Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez (24-0, 17 KOs) stopped Antonio Vargas (19-2-1, 11 KOs) in round six on Saturday night in Glendale, Arizona and became world champion in a third weight class.

Rodriguez knocked down Vargas once in round four and finished the fight with a straight left hand in sixth round to claim the WBA World bantamweight title.

Many fans would love to see fight between him and Japanese superstar Naoya Inoue.

"I'm ready for whoever, whenever," Rodriguez (24-0, 17 KOs) said after collecting his sixth consecutive stoppage. "Put them in front of me, and I'm going to say yes."
