Fury vs. Joshua set for December 11 in Cardiff

The long awaited fight between two unified former heavyweight world champions Tyson Fury (36-2, 25 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (30-4, 27 KOs) is set to take place in Cardiff on December 11.

The first press conference is scheduled for Wednesday.

The matchup was officially confirmed by His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority and President of the Saudi Boxing Federation.

“Two of the best heavyweights of this generation, finally in the ring together,” says Alalshikh. “This will be one of the biggest fights in boxing history.”

H.E. Turki Alalshikh’s The Ring and Dana White will collaborate to promote the event. White points to the fighters’ combined records — and what a win could mean for either man’s legacy.

After the fight became official, Fury went on social media and claimed that is risk that fight is at risk and he was blaming Joshua and his manager Eddie Hearn. But Alalshikh confirmed that is all set for the fight.

The heavyweight rivals will meet in London for a press conference on Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Fight will be for WBA Super World heavyweight title.
