Foster defeats Ford, retains WBC title

O’Shaquie Foster (25-3, 12 KOs) defeated Raymond Ford (18-2-1) and defended his WBC World super-featherweight title.

Foster with a late surge secured the majority decision victory. Two judges scored the fight 118:110 and 116:112 for Foster and one scored as draw (114:114).

After the fight Foster was in war of words with Shakur Stevenson, the WBO World super-lightweight champion. Stevenson could be next for Foster.

"I'm one of the smartest people in this ring, man," said Foster, who lives in nearby Orange, Texas. "And all I needed to do was adjust. I knew what he was going to come in with and wanted to do. I took everything away from him. I knew what his strength was, and my plan was to take it away from him."
