Chamberlain stops O’Leary in round 10, wins IBO World title

Mark Chamberlain (18-1-1, 13 KOs) is the new IBO World superlightweight champion. Chamberlain on Saturday night in Dublin stopped local favorite Pierce O’Leary (19-1, 11 KOs) in round ten. O’Leary came in the fight as champion and was defending the title for the first time. Chamberlain dropped him three times during the fight, and himself he was down once in round seven.

After nine rounds the result on card was even. Two judges had the fight 84:84 and one saw Chamberlain as winner 85:83.

In co-main event Royston Barney-Smith (17-0) defeated Reece Bellotti (20-8) via unanimous decision in the fight for IBO Inter-Continental superfeatherweight title and WBO European title.

Gary Cully (20-2) won against Lee Reeves (16-2) by KO in round ten. Reeves had to be rushed to hospital. From Queensberry Promotion said that Reeves is “in critical but stable condition).
