Canelo to fight Mbilli for WBC title in September

Christian Mbilli (29-0-1, 24 KOs) will fight Saul Canelo Alcarez (63-3-2, 39 KOs) in September in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Fight will be for Mbilli’s WBC super-middleweight title, “The Ring” has learned.

Mbilli was asking for the big names, and he will make his first defense against a superstar.

Alvarez will try to regain the title he lost in September 2025 to Terence Crawford in Las Vegas. The fight was for undisputed super-middleweight title.

In undercard on that night Mbilli fought to a split draw against Lester Martinez.
