Billam-Smith stops Rozicki, wants Opetaia next

Chris Billam-Smith (23-2) defeated hard-hitting Canadian Ryan Rozicki (21-2-1) via stoppage in round seven.

Rozicki retired after seven gruelling rounds, in what could be a fight-of-the-year contender.

After fight Billam-Smith, former WBO World cruiserweight champion, said he would want to fight Jai Opetaia next.

Facing the unbeaten Australian cruiserweight has been earmarked a possibility since Billam-Smith first signed with Zuffa Boxing earlier this year, with the 35-year-old keen to make the contest happen.

"Yeah for sure, I want him [Opateia] next," Billam-Smith told Sky Sports. "I know there's been talk of him potentially having other fights as well but I want him next.
