
Beatriz Ferreira made a strong debut in her new category at the World Boxing Cup today
After Canada’s World Champion Tammara Thibeault another star, Brazil’s Beatriz Ferreira came back to the business with a victory at the second stage of the World Boxing Cup in Guiyang, China.
Altogether 299 boxers are participating for the 20 gold medals in China where all of the top countries, Olympic Champions and Word Champions are participating this week.
Chinese Taipei’s Lin Yu Ting amazed in her comeback to the World Boxing Cups and eh eliminated England’s Amy Broadhurst in the battle of the World Champions. Mongolia’s Namuun Monkhor also succeeded against India’s Mahi Lama in another women’s 60kg fight.
Uzbekistan’s Paris Olympian Sitora Turdibekova had a tough test against Japan’s Ayaka Taguchi in the women’s 60kg before South Korea’s Asian Games winner Oh Yeon Ji eliminated Canada’s Marie Al Ahmadieh in another 3:2 split decision bout.
Brazil’s Olympic medallist and World Champion Beatriz Ferreira won their recent National Championships and she returned to international stage of boxing in her new category at the 65kg but she stopped Spain’s Mariana Soto in the third round.
United States’ 19-year-old Salim Ellis Bay had a highlight success over Kazakhstan’s Serik Temirzhanov at the men’s 60kg weight class. The next Kazakh boxer, the 29-year-old Ablaikhan Zhussupov was too experienced for Brazil’s Kaian Reis in the 70kg division.
Uzbekistan’s superstar, the Olympic Champion Abdumalik Khalokov returned to the international events in top shape and he outpointed Venezuela’s Wilson Solorzano from his safest distance in the 60kg.
Bulgaria’s record-breaking European U23 Champion Radoslav Rosenov had a hard but successful battle against Mongolia’s Gantumur Lundaa on Day3. The next top name at the 60kg, Brazil’s Luiz Gabriel Oliveira was highly confident against Azerbaijan’s Mahammadali Ashiraliyev today.
England’s William Hewitt controlled the last period of his bout against Turkmenistan’s Dovlet Muhanov at the 60kg before his teammate, Patrick Hewitt eliminated China’s National Champion Zhang Haosheng at the 70kg weight class.
Kyrgyzstan’s Olympic silver medallist Munarbek Seiitbek Uulu had a tight success over Italy’s Michele Baldassi and his teammate, the World quarter-finalist Ikhtiyar Nishonov also advanced to the next stage after beating Moldova’s Vasile Cebotari.
France’s Paris Olympian Makan Traore had a tough performance against Germany’s Randy Botikali in the 70kg and Uzbekistan’s Shavkatjon Boltayev looked also confident against South Korea’s Kim Joon Su in this weight class.
Such strong boxers as Jordan’s Hussein Iashaish, Azerbaijan’s Murad Allakhverdiyev, South Korea’s Kim Min Seong, Brazil’s Wanderley Pereira, Uzbekistan’s Javokhir Ummataliyev, Australia’s Marlon Sevehon, England’s Oladimeji Shittu and Canada’s Joshua Ofori are the quarter-finalist at the men’s 80kg.
