Amazing talents competed at the Art of NextGen Box Cup

The Art of NextGen Box Cup had two busy competition days in Frankfurt am Main and several young talents shined in the German international event.

Their first annual event, the 4th edition of the Art of Boxing Cup was a busy event in Frankfurt am Main, Germany earlier this year in the beginning of February, which recognized record-breaking participations.

Boxers from all across Germany took part in the historic event in Frankfurt am Main, joined by strong international teams from England, Ireland, France, Czech Republic and others.

The atmosphere in the sports hall was characterized by friendship and fair play – the integration of the different nations was clearly felt and widely recognized as a great success for the young athletes.

The Art of Boxing NextGen Cup was held for both genders and for the U15 and U13 age groups to give them international experience. The local organizers underlined the new event served only to develop boxing and promote the sport in the younger generations.

Paul Mehler is only 12-year-old and he competed in the U13 age group of the Art of Boxing NextGen Cup but the German youngster made a remarkable performance against Ireland’s Dlyn Hoey at the 32kg final.

The Platinum Boxing Plzen’s Tobias Trejbal has strong family connections to our sport and he had a great performance in the event but Germany’s Ilja Schneider was slightly better than him in the U13 36kg final.

One of the top German U15 male boxers, Anton Deminenko had a tough final battle at the 38kg weight class but he managed to beat Archie Fox from the Longs ABC.

Another German U15 boxer, Yakiv Nikitin, who trains in the Marburg Boxing Club, looked confident against Ilya Remenuk in the final of the 52kg weight class.

Kevin Castro arrived from Cologne to the competition and he looked confident against France’s Omar Hassani in the first and second rounds. The German talent finished the job in the third when the referee stopped their unequal 42kg contest.

Frankfurt am Main will host the next event, the 5th International Art of Boxing Cup in the beginning of February 2027.
